Mountain Buggy Plus One Buggy with Cocoon and Second Seat, Black Reviews
14 of 14 people found the following review helpful Mountain Buggy +ONE vs Phil and Teds Sport (oldish model), December 22, 2011 By This review is from: Mountain Buggy Plus One Buggy with Cocoon and Second Seat, Black (Baby Product) Ok, so le me start by saying that as a mother of three boys, I've been able to try my good share of strollers (PegPerego, Combi, Joovy, Bugaboo, Micralite, etc.), but I'm only going to write about the Phil and Teds Sport and my spanking new and awesome Mountain Buggy +One. I would definitely put both strollers in the same category as far as being rugged and serving the same purpose (eg being able to convert from a single to a double, inline style). I bought my PT back in 2009 (November to be exact) when expecting another baby and that same stroller has been used and a little bit abused on a daily basis by two very active boys. HOWEVER, I do not think that I got my money's worth: it only lasted all of 2010 and six months of this current 2011. IMO, not enough when you are talking about a supposedly RUGGED stroller that costs over $500. What happened to it? Well, the materials used by PT are cheap, granted, they DO look good! The sun canopy is a joke, the storage is NON-existent when you... Read more
12 of 12 people found the following review helpful Freaking LOVE this stroller!, December 2, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Mountain Buggy Plus One Buggy with Cocoon and Second Seat, Black (Baby Product) This stroller is stable, strong, and super easy to maneuver even with two children- one weighs 32 pounds, the other weighs 40. It's like pushing a single stroller around and has great shocks on it. The assembly was easy enough, although I wish the manual was a little more explanatory. The under basket is easy to access and LARGE, we can fit a huge diaper bag under there- just make sure it's in before the kid sitting in the back gets in because the pocket for their feet hang down pretty low (plenty of room in the back for the kids legs by the way) My kids are tall and don't really feel squished at all. The hood on it is gigantic and can cover both kids completely plus some, it expands even bigger than it looks.
We have had it for 3 weeks now with no problems, great quality, and we take it everywhere, even on snow and ice.
7 of 7 people found the following review helpful So close, yet so far away...., March 15, 2012 By megmul (Chicago) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Mountain Buggy Plus One Buggy with Cocoon and Second Seat, Black (Baby Product) I received my +one yesterday, and it is fantastic in so many ways, but there are a couple of things that may be deal-breakers. I haven't decided yet whether I'm keeping it.
I searched high and low for an inline double jogging stroller. I really, really did not want a bulky side-by-side, but I definitely wanted a jogger for two kids. My daughter and I have put hundreds of miles on our single jogger and I want to keep it up once our next child is born. I was so excited when I finally found the +one. I was very hesitant to buy a such an expensive stroller sight-unseen, but the free return shipping sealed the deal.
My daughter is 3 years old and my son won't be born until June, so I can't review the 2 kid functionality yet. My 3 year old is 40 inches tall and weighs 33 pounds. I am a 5'10" tall woman, planning to use this stroller for running on paved surfaces.
The good:
Very maneuverable; handles like a single.
Very light weight,... Read more
